We went to Squirries to visit my Cousin Leech, daughter to Sir John; a pretty, finely wooded, well watered seat, the stables good, the house old, but convenient. 6th. Returned to Wotton.

I dined at Mr. Carew Raleigh's, at Horsley, son to the famous Sir Walter.
