1. Who we are and when these terms apply
Until Tomorrow and tomorroweditions.com are operated by William Marsey, trading as Tomorrow Editions, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. "We", "us" and "our" mean William Marsey trading as Tomorrow Editions. Tomorrow Editions is a trading name, not a separate limited company.
Email: hello@tomorroweditions.com Postal address: 50 Capstan Way, London SE16 5HH, United Kingdom
These terms govern your use of Until Tomorrow, our website and the content and services we provide through them. Please read and keep a copy. We make them available before a purchase or account agreement is concluded. If you do not agree, do not create or link an account or purchase access, and stop using the app. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable law.
The app is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to make a purchase and comply with the store's age and payment rules. You must have authority to use the account and payment method involved.
2. The reading service
Until Tomorrow brings together historical diary passages and editorial material. The available features and any paid access are described in the app and in the purchase information shown before you buy. That purchase description is part of your agreement with us. If a general statement here conflicts with a specific promise made when you bought, the specific promise applies.
We aim to provide a regular reading service, but do not guarantee a new digest at a particular time every day, uninterrupted access, a particular writer or passage, or a fixed number of future readings unless expressly promised in your purchase description. Downloads and archive access depend on the features, content and compatibility available to you. An archive is not a promise to host every passage permanently.
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill and meet any mandatory standards applicable to paid digital content. Descriptions of possible future features are not promises to deliver them unless expressly included in the purchase agreement.
3. Historical and editorial material
Historical diaries express their writers' views and can contain outdated, offensive, distressing or inaccurate accounts. Inclusion does not imply our endorsement. Dates, transcription, selection, attribution and editorial context may contain errors; tell us about a suspected error so we can investigate.
Editorial work may be assisted by automated or AI tools. We remain responsible for meeting our legal obligations. The service is for reading and general interest, not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as a definitive historical source without checking originals.
We may correct, replace or withdraw material for factual, editorial, rights, safety or legal reasons. Changes to content do not allow us to disregard a specific paid commitment or your statutory rights.
4. Your licence and the rights in the material
Subject to these terms and the relevant store rules, you may use the app and access the service for your own personal, non-commercial reading on supported devices you own or control. This is a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service, not a sale of its software or intellectual property. Store permissions, including any applicable Family Sharing permissions, are not restricted by this paragraph.
Our original software, artwork, branding, editorial writing and any protected selection or arrangement belong to us or our licensors. Historical source texts may be in the public domain or have separate rights. We do not claim ownership of public-domain writing or restrict uses that the law permits, including fair dealing and rights in material obtained independently of our protected service.
Use the app's sharing tools and comply with any applicable rights, attribution and legal limits. Providing a sharing feature is not a representation that every use of every source text is permitted in every country. Do not remove authorship or source information in a way that misleads others.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Access another person's account or bypass payment, authentication, access controls or security measures.
- Resell access, use stolen credentials, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code or make unlawful use of the app or content.
- Automatically harvest or bulk extract protected editorial content, databases or selections, or use our service to build a competing commercial dataset, except to the extent you have our permission or applicable law permits it.
- Reverse engineer or alter the app except where applicable law gives you a right to do so that cannot be excluded.
- Use our name or branding to imply an endorsement or affiliation we have not authorised.
These restrictions do not prevent legitimate accessibility tools, permitted search-engine indexing of public website pages, security research conducted lawfully without harming users or data, or other uses protected by law.
6. Accounts, saved readings and highlights
The app can create a pseudonymous reader account without you supplying an email. Linking Google or Apple sign-in can help you recover that account. If an account is not linked and you lose its local sign-in information, we may be unable to verify ownership or restore its saved data. We do not promise that separate accounts, app stores or platforms can be merged or that an Apple purchase will transfer to Google Play, or vice versa, unless expressly offered.
Keep your device and linked account secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but are not automatically responsible for every unauthorised transaction or a failure we cause. Readings, local storage and sync can be affected by device failure, reinstallation, account changes, network conditions or a withdrawn passage. Keep an independent copy of anything important to you. We remain responsible for loss or damage to the extent required by law.
You retain any rights you have in information you provide. We use saved highlights and preferences only as needed to provide and operate the service, as explained in the privacy policy. Saving a highlight does not give us an unrestricted licence to publish your private reading activity or promote it.
7. Reader Pass and purchases
The Reader Pass is currently designed as a one-time, non-consumable purchase, not a recurring subscription. Its price, currency and included features are those shown in the app and store checkout when you buy. Do not rely on an old screenshot, sample price or development-store transaction as a live offer.
We may change prices for future purchases. A price change does not itself create a new charge for an existing one-time purchase. We do not begin recurring billing without a separate offer and your agreement through the applicable checkout.
A one-time purchase does not, by itself, promise that a hosted service will run forever, that every future product or feature will be included, or that all content will remain available permanently. This does not override anything more specific promised at purchase, including the meaning reasonably conveyed by any "lifetime" wording. We will not use this paragraph to turn a purchased entitlement into a subscription or avoid remedies due if we stop supplying what you bought.
Apple or Google processes the payment under its store arrangements. RevenueCat helps us verify and restore the entitlement. Use Restore purchases with the relevant store account if an entitlement is missing. Verification may need a connection. We may pause an entitlement reasonably believed to be fraudulent, revoked or refunded while investigating; if the restriction was mistaken, we will restore access and provide any remedy required by law.
8. Cancellation, refunds and problems with a purchase
Store refund processes and mandatory consumer rights apply. We do not promise additional discretionary refunds beyond those rights and any offer we expressly make. We do not impose a blanket "no refunds" rule.
For digital content supplied immediately, a statutory cancellation right is lost only if the conditions required by applicable law have been met, including any required express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation. Accepting these terms alone does not constitute that separate consent or automatically waive a cooling-off right.
If the app, paid digital content or a service fails to meet applicable legal standards, you may have rights to repair, replacement, repeat performance, a price reduction, cancellation or a refund, depending on your location and the problem. These rights are not made conditional on accepting store credit or releasing a claim. Contact us at hello@tomorroweditions.com for help. You can also use the relevant store's refund channel without first asking us.
Where a cancellation right exists, you may notify the relevant seller or us by any clear statement. The following model is optional:
To: William Marsey trading as Tomorrow Editions, hello@tomorroweditions.com, 50 Capstan Way, London SE16 5HH, United Kingdom I give notice that I cancel my contract for: [purchase / service] Ordered on: [date] Name: [name] Address: [address] Order reference, if available: [reference] Date: [date] Signature: [only if notifying on paper]
9. Maintenance, changes and ending the service
We may update the app, change supported devices and adjust the service for security, legal compliance, compatibility, rights availability or to maintain its operation. We may introduce optional new products or features. We will not use a change to take away the substance of an existing paid entitlement without providing any notice and remedy required by law.
We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance, a security incident or an event outside our reasonable control. We take reasonable steps to limit the effect, restore service and keep you informed where practical. We do not exclude liability for an interruption or third-party failure where the law makes us responsible.
If we decide to end the hosted service or make a change that materially reduces paid access, we aim to give at least 30 days' advance notice where reasonably possible. A shorter period may be necessary for an urgent legal or security reason. We will explain the effect on purchases and provide the cancellation, refund or other remedy to which you are entitled. Continued use does not waive that remedy. Downloaded content may continue working only where the app, licence and device permit; we do not guarantee a permanent offline fallback.
10. Suspension, termination and account deletion
We may restrict or end access for a material breach of these terms, fraud, unlawful activity or a genuine security risk. Where appropriate, we give reasons and an opportunity to put the matter right. We may act immediately where that is reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or legal rights. We do not terminate a paid account arbitrarily or merely because you complain or exercise a legal right. You may contact us to challenge a restriction.
You can stop using the service at any time. In the app, open Settings, then Your account, and choose Request account and data deletion. We process this manually, normally within one month, and provide an in-app completion status. No support conversation is needed to complete an in-app request. You can alternatively request deletion at https://tomorroweditions.com/request-deletion/ or email hello@tomorroweditions.com. For an external request, we may need proportionate information to verify ownership and locate the account.
Submitting an in-app request blocks further account sync and notification sends. Deletion permanently removes the account and its saved readings and highlights. The privacy policy explains the records deleted, limited retention exceptions and copies on other devices. Uninstalling does not itself delete the account. Account deletion does not cancel store billing or automatically entitle you to a discretionary refund; your statutory rights remain.
11. Our responsibility for loss or damage
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill, to the extent required by applicable law. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was contemplated by both sides when the agreement was made.
The app is supplied for personal use. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profits, revenue, business opportunities or business interruption, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. We do not offer a business continuity, professional advice, archival preservation or guaranteed response-time service.
Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, statutory obligations for digital content or services that cannot be excluded, or any other liability which applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Any mandatory rights to compensation for damage to your device or other digital content also remain.
12. Privacy, other services and the app stores
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. Agreeing to these terms is not consent to optional analytics, marketing or other processing that needs separate consent.
Third-party sites and apps you choose to use, including sharing destinations, have their own terms. We do not control their content or operation, but remain responsible for our own obligations, including providers we use to fulfil them.
For the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement applies to the software licence unless a valid custom EULA is expressly supplied through Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
These terms supplement that agreement for our service; they do not replace it or remove store rights. Apple and Google are not the operators of Tomorrow Editions. The relevant store's rules apply to its checkout, payment handling and usage permissions. Mandatory consumer protections take precedence over a conflicting provision.
13. Other terms and disputes
We may update these terms for changes in law or the service. We explain material changes and give reasonable advance notice where appropriate. We do not apply a change retrospectively to remove an accrued right, reduce a specific purchase promise or increase an already agreed price. If a change needs your agreement, we obtain it rather than treating silence alone as consent.
We may transfer the service and our rights and obligations to a new operator provided this does not materially reduce your contractual or legal rights. We will give notice and any options required by law. You may transfer rights where the store rules or applicable law permit; otherwise ask us first.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right does not give up that right. No provision excludes liability for statements or promises that applicable law makes binding.
English law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not prevent you from bringing proceedings in your local courts where applicable law permits, including courts in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. We do not require compulsory arbitration or a waiver of collective remedies protected by law.
Please email hello@tomorroweditions.com about a complaint. We will consider it and try to resolve it. This is not a compulsory first step before using any legal right or store dispute process.
